Will the Displayport still work for monitors that do not support alternative (ALT) mode? (DP uses ALT mode using DP over USB-4, and according to the literature here, this docking station uses DP ALT mode, so what about monitors that don't support DP ALT mode? Are we limited to using HDMI in that case?)

Does this docking station support 2 monitors at 1440p and 1 monitor at 1080p (in lieu of 4k)? The specs don't mention 1440p configurations.

Does this require DisplayLink drivers? Especially for MacOS based devices - typically required in order to recognize multiple monitors and DP connections.

I have 2 HDMI monitors. If they are both plugged in to this device, can they be used to extend the screen? For example, the laptop would be screen A and the other two monitors as B and C.

BEST ANSWER: I purchased several of these. They are doing that exactly in a few rooms perfectly. I have a couple of rooms where the second HDMI device is a 75" interactive device on a 50-foot HDMI cable. There have been a few issues in two rooms. I don't believe it is caused by the dock. It seems more laptop port problems and/or cable problems. Still evaluating.

I have a couple of rooms where the second HDMI device is a 75" interactive device on a 50-foot HDMI cable. There have been a few issues in two rooms. I don't believe it is caused by the dock. It seems more laptop port problems and/or cable problems. Still evaluating.

Docking Station - Powered
The docking station works well most of the time, but it occasionally fails to power the two connected monitors. After starting my laptop, I occasionally have to turn the docking station off and back on again before the monitors will display anything.

It's too big, heavy, and not for travel
This is a large, heavy docking station that must be plugged in to a power source. It has a plentitude of ports, but this is not for travel as I had hoped.
